Indeed. Great representation by both groups in the competition!
For those that haven't heard, P & P pulled out a third place ranking. We know they deserved a 70 or better, and that they'll get it next time. They missed 2nd place by a MERE 12 total points (out of 2400). Plus, their evaluation session indicated definite potential for a district win this fall. Awesome sound, guys!
L&K showed their strength and growth as well, making some impressive changes in selection of repertoire and overall command, leading them to a seventh place rank. Not too shabby, gentlemen--we're all happy for you.
To those that couldn't come, you missed some great performances, and our guys were a HUGE part in that success. Awesome! _________________ "BE-HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" <gasp> "IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNND!" |

Thanks for the comments guys. We had a good time and got some good advice from the judges on a variety of things.
Congrats to Lock and Key for making some great improvements. I really liked those shirts, LOL.
See you all on Thursday. _________________

Thanks to all the Cavemen at the contest for their good words and support. We felt good about our performances and had already decided that we were pleased before we knew anything about our scores. As always, we'd like for them to have been higher but, we had a couple of 67s in there and some unexpected positive comments. The singing judge loved the quartet name. The music judge was totally delighted that we sang good solid barbershop songs - especially "Who Told You". And finally, the presentation judge thought the Hawiaan shirts were great. Clearly we can improve and we certainly hope to do that by next contest. We get an even bigger thrill, though, from singing for folks in the community and have three events to sing for before June 1 - and we are definitely excited about that!!
Thanks again for all your positive comments and claps!! Congratulations, as well, to P and P on their move up in both score and placement.
